Terms of Use

These terms set out the agreement between you and tsyk-app (“we”, “us”) for using the YOSOMICHI app (“the app”). By using the app you agree to them. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

YOSOMICHI is operated by tsyk-app, a sole proprietorship based in Japan.

2. Who can use the app

• The app is for people aged 13 or over. If you are a minor where you live, use the app with a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
• The app is for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Accounts

• No account is required. From the moment you open the app you can use every feature anonymously.
• Signing in with Apple or Google is optional. It exists so that your record can follow you to a new or replacement device.
• You are responsible for your device and for the account you sign in with.
• You can delete your account and data at any time from Settings. Deletion cannot be undone (about deletion).

4. Paths

Each day the app offers one small suggestion for something to do (a “path”). A path is a suggestion, not an instruction.

• Whether and how you carry out a path is your decision. If a path seems unsafe, against the law or local rules, or wrong for your health or circumstances, do not do it. Skipping a path never counts against you.
• We are not responsible for accidents, losses, or disputes with other people that arise while you carry out a path (see section 10).
• The app does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
• The app does not promise that any particular result or event will happen.

5. Your map

The “map” in the app, and the descriptions shown on it, are hypotheses that our system derives from your answers and activity. They are not a diagnosis or an assessment of you as a person, and we do not guarantee that they are accurate. When something feels wrong, you can say so in the app.

6. Premium (auto-renewing subscription)

• Premium is an auto-renewing subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. It comes in a monthly and a yearly plan; the price is shown on the purchase screen in your store’s currency.
• The subscription renews automatically until you cancel. At the end of each period, the price of the plan you chose is charged to your store account.
• First-time subscribers may be offered a 14-day free trial (the store decides who is eligible). Cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged. The app sends one reminder two days before the trial ends.
• You can cancel at any time in your store’s subscription settings (on iOS: Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions; on Android: Google Play → Subscriptions). After cancelling, Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Refunds follow the rules and procedures of the store. We cannot issue refunds directly.
• The daily path and the basics of your map work without a subscription. When a subscription ends, your paths and records are not removed.

7. Making paths from words (Premium)

• This feature sends the words you type to an outside AI provider to assemble a path. Before the first use we show what is sent and to whom and ask for your consent; you can withdraw it at any time in Settings.
• Do not enter personal information about yourself or others, content intended to harm anyone, or anything unlawful.
• The resulting path is assembled from pieces we prepared in advance. There is a daily limit on how many you can request.

8. What you must not do

• Break the law, act against public order, or infringe other people’s rights.
• Gain unauthorised access to the app or our servers, place excessive load on them, or use the app through automated means.
• Reverse-engineer, modify, copy, or redistribute the app beyond what the store’s terms allow.
• Impersonate someone else, or use the app in a way that puts other people at risk.

If these terms are breached, we may suspend use of the app without prior notice.

9. Ownership

• The app, the text of paths, illustrations, design, and other content belong to us or to our licensors.
• Share images created in the app may be shared for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Your answers and notes are yours. We use your answers only as far as needed to provide and improve the app, as described in the Privacy Policy. Notes never leave your device.

10. Disclaimer and limits of liability

• The app is provided as it is at the time. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will suit your purposes.
• We may change the app or interrupt the service without prior notice for maintenance, faults, changes in the law, or other reasons.
• To the extent permitted by law, and except where we have acted intentionally or with gross negligence, our liability for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app is limited to the subscription fee you paid us for the month in which the loss occurred. Where consumer-protection law or another mandatory rule does not allow this limit, that rule applies instead. Nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

11. Ending the service

If we end the app, we will announce it in advance on this page and in the app, and aim to give you a period in which you can export your data.

12. Store terms

• If you obtained the app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms and that agreement conflict, that agreement prevails as regards Apple. Apple is not responsible for maintaining or supporting the app, for any warranty, or for any claim relating to these terms.
• If you obtained the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to these terms or the app shall be brought before the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance with exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of the country you live in guarantees you access to a different court.

14. Changes to these terms

When these terms change we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is material and to your disadvantage, we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the changed terms.
